The Commonwealth Act and Other Indigenous Forest Residents (Recognition of Forest Rights), passed in 2006, is an important piece of forestry law that was adopted in India on December 18, 2006. It is also known as the International Bill of Rights, the International Bill of Rights, and the International Law Act. The United Nations and other Indigenous forest residents (Forest Rights Recognition) Act of 2006 was approved by the federal government. In terms of the introduction of the final Act, this Act seeks to redress the historical errors of forest communities by failing to recognise their land rights and resources. The Act recognises their right to residency, farming, grazing, and non-timber forest.
