Transformation experiment of Griffith proves that DNA is stable to heat. In the experiment, Griffith used two strains of Streptococcus pneumoniae, a pathogenic "S" strain and a non-pathogenic "R" strain. He found that the heat-killed S strain was capable of transforming the live R strain into a pathogenic form.
