Option1 is correct. In layman's language, we can say that voice determines the form that the verb takes in a sentence. It also adjudges the status of the subject and the object. Voice can be Active or Passive. In simple sentences, we can say that when the subject of a verb also acts as the verb, the verb is said to be in the active voice.
