= 2 π r h

Diameter of cylinder, d = 7 cm
Height of cylinder, h = 7 cm
Therefore, the radius of cylinder,

r = 72

Lateral surface area of cylinder is;

⇒ 2 × π × r × h ⇒ 2 × 227 × 72 × 7 ⇒ 154 c m 2

Hence the lateral surface area of cylinder is

= 4 × s i d e 2
