It is given the area of a trapezium is 34 cm 2   and the length of one of the parallel sides is 10 cm and its height is 4 cm the length of the other parallel side is 7 cm.
The length of one parallel side given is 10 cm.
Hence a = 10
and height is given as 4 cm
Therefore, h=4 cm
Let another parallel side be b
The area of trapezium given isQuestion Imagetherefore,
Area of trapezium = 1 2 (a+b)×h  
⇒34= 1 2 (10+b)×4 ⇒68=(10+b)×4 ⇒68=40+4b ⇒68−40=4b ⇒28=4b ⇒b=7  
The length of another parallel side is 7cm.
Given statement is true.
Hence option (1) is correct.
