We have to check if the cost of ploughing the field will be Rs. 1900, when cost of fencing a circular field at the rate of ₹ 25 per metre is ₹ 5500. The field is to be ploughed at the rate of

50 paise per m 2 .

Note that,
Circumference of the circular field,

= Total cost of fencing Rate of fencing = 550025 = 220

Suppose the radius of the circle is r.
Calculating the radius of the circle,

∵ Circumference = 220 ⇒ 2 π r = 220 ⇒ r = 35 cm

Calculating the area of the circular field,

A r e a = π r 2

= 227 × (35) 2 = 3850 cm 2

Calculating the cost of ploughing,
Cost of ploughing,

= Rate × Area of field = 0.5 × 3850 = Rs . 1925

So, the cost of ploughing the field is Rs 1925 and thus the statement is false.
Therefore, option 2 is correct.
