The given statement is true.
Concept- We know that electricity is of two broad forms: the interspersing current AC and direct current DC.
AC is the electricity that comes out from the power outlet sockets and has the charges move in a periodic fashion then. Therefore this is also known as sinusoidal AC swells which are caused due to the glamorous field.
While DC is the movement of charges in a straight line, and hence direct electrical current is formed. This is frequently produced from the batteries and solar cells and so on.

Since both the AC and DC are dangerous to us, since the power due to a DC is lesser than that of an AC source, a DC shock may be fatal and can kill you .
