Detailed Solution

The above statement is false.
The fact that there were no Indians in the Commission was why the Simon commission was opposed in India. Simon's Commission was appointed in 1928 to look into the functioning of India for constitutional reforms and the activity of legislatures. Indian ministers and politicians feel insulted as they were not represented in the Commission. So the whole of India strongly opposed the Simon Commission when it arrived in 1928. All political parties, including the Congress and the Muslim League, participated in the demonstrations against the Simon Commission, and it was greeted by the slogan, 'Go back, Simon'.
Hence, Indians did not collectively support the Simon commission when they stepped into India in 1928.
