Mohammed Bin Tuglak is considered to be one of the most significant sultanates of Delhi. He was in power from 1352 to 1351 AD.
He was a blend of contradictory traits. Although his administrative policies had merit in theory, they lacked application.
Transfer of Capital: In 1327, Tughlaq made the decision to move his capital from Delhi to Devagiri, which is situated south of the Vindhyachal mountains. The Sultan made an effort to create Daulatabad a home for his people. Sultan, however, became irate and commanded everyone in Delhi to march toward Daulatabad with their possessions after the inhabitants of Delhi refused to go to Daulatabad. This resulted in confusion and an administrative failure.
