Detailed Solution

The given statement is true.
Concept- Fleming's left-hand rule and Fleming's right-hand rule were developed by John Ambrose Fleming in the late nineteenth century as an easy way to determine movement direction in an electric motor or electric current direction in an electric generator. Fleming's right-hand rule (for generators) indicates the direction of induced current when a conductor connected to a circuit travels through a magnetic field. It can be used to determine the current path within a generator's windings.
When current flows through a conducting wire and an external magnetic field is applied to it, the conducting wire experiences a force that is perpendicular to both the field and the direction of the current flow (i.e., they are mutually perpendicular to each other) . The thumb, forefinger, and middle finger of the left hand can be used to represent three mutually orthogonal axes. Each finger is then assigned a quantity (mechanical power, magnetic field, and electric current) . Generators and motors are operated with the right and left hands, respectively. The Fleming left-hand rule is used for electric motors, while the Fleming right-hand rule is used for electric generators. Separate hands must be used for motors and generators, regardless of the variations between cause and effect.
Hence, the given statement is true.
