We know, the area of a rectangle is the product of its length and its breadth.
Thus, the cost of wooden flooring inside the house except for the bathroom will be calculated as,
= (Area of the house – area of the bathroom) × 1200
= Area of PQRS – bathroom × 1200
Let the cost of wooden flooring be ‘C’,
Substituting the values,

C = 10.5 × 6 − 2.5 × 2 × 1200 = 63 − 5 × 1200 = 58 × 1200 = 69600

Therefore, the given statement is false.
The cost of wooden flooring is Rs. 69600.
