Detailed Solution

The given statement is True.
Mumbai High is India's largest oil field. It is an offshore oil field in the Arabian Sea about 160 kilometres (km) west of Mumbai. It got founded in 1974, and production began in 1976. In 2005, Bombay High produced 110,000 barrels per day. The oil is extracted from a depth of over 1400 metres using a specifically developed platform, Sagar Samrat. When compared to crude oil from the Middle East, the crude oil produced from this field is of exceptionally high quality. They were divided into two distinct blocks based on the shale barrier - Mumbai High North (MHN) and Mumbai High South (MHS) (MHS).
