It is in the Dantewada district of southern Chhattisgarh, India, near Kirandul town. The famous Bailadila range of hills in Chhattisgarh's Bastar district contains very high-grade hematites. The Bailadila hills are home to 14 deposits of ultra-high-grade hematite iron ore. It possesses the best physical qualities required for steel production. These mines' iron ore gets shipped to Japan and South Korea via Visakhapatnam port.
