Detailed Solution

The above statement is correct. India's most pervasive forests are Deciduous forests. They're also termed monsoon forests and are seen over the regions where rainfall ranges from 200 to 70 cm. in the dry summer, trees in these deciduous forest types rid their leaves for roughly six to eight weeks. These forests are classified into two categories, moist and dry deciduous, based on water availability. The moist deciduous forest types can be seen in locations with rainfall ranging from 200 to 100 cm. As a result, these forests are predominantly found in the country's eastern regions: northeastern states, along the Himalayan foothills, Chhattisgarh, West Odisha, and Jharkhand, and on the eastern slopes of the Western Ghats. The dry deciduous forests can be seen in regions with rainfall varying from 100 to 70 cm. The showerier areas of the Peninsular plateau and Uttar Pradesh and Bihar are abode to these woods.
