Reason : Due to their high reactivity with water (or) atmospheric moisture we can't store them in water.
Na + H2O → NaOH + 1/2H2↑ + Δ
And the above reaction is highly exothermic in nature
Therefore inorder to avoid the above reaction we need to store them in kerosene [inert]
→ But in the case of "Li" ,Due to its low density it floats on the surface of kerosene,that means it exposes to atomsheric air, therefore the Li metal will be stored in kerosene by wrapping with paraffin wax material
→ Density : Na< H2O
