Statement - II :R-Cd bond is less polar as compared to R-Mg bond.

Treatment of acyl chlorides with dialkylcadmium, prepared by the reaction of cadmium chloride with Grignard reagent, gives ketones.

${\mathrm{R}}_2\mathrm{Cd}$ reacts with RCOCI and forms ketone easily as Cd of ${\mathrm{R}}_2\mathrm{Cd}$  is sufficiently electrophilic to initiate the reaction.
