Detailed Solution

Boric acid B(OH)3 is a monobasic acid. It is an oxy acid, as evidenced by its structure. However, none of its OH generate H+. However, even after bonding with 30H, boron has a vacant p orbital. So, in water, H2O, a lone pair is donated to B(OH)3, and it forms a Corordinate bond with H2O. As a result of donating its lone pair, 0 receives a positive charge. However, because OO is an electronegative element, positive charge is not stable on it. As a result, a proton H+ is removed from it, and B(OH)4 with a minus charge is formed, yielding a  H+. As a result, it is a monobasic acid.
