Detailed Solution

The graphs obtain for gases at constant temperature are called isotherm. Isobars means the graphs obtain at constant pressure of gas.

From Boyle’s Law P1V

                   P=KVPV=K

If a fixed amount of gas at constant temperature T, occupying volume V1 at pressureP1 , undergoes expansion so that volume becomes V2  and pressure becomesP2 . According to Boyle’s Law

P1P2=V2V1P1V1=P2V2=constant

Therefore, statements I and II are incorrect but statement III is correct.
