There is mainly two elements are present in the sun and the stars. They are : Hydrogen(H) and Helium(He).

The gases used in light bulbs are known as inert gases.  An inert gas is a non-reactive and extremely resistance to chemical change.  Due to inert nature, Argon (Ar) and Neon (Ne) do not allow a filament to catch fire in a electric bulb.
