Statement A: Events of cell cycle do not occur in the ${\mathrm{G}}_0$ stage.

The stage at which the cell withdraws from cell cycle is usually ${\mathrm{G}}_1$ stage. Once withdrawn from cell cycle the events needed to progress through cell cycle are arrested  and such condition or stage of the cell is described as ${\mathrm{G}}_0$ stage. Though cell is in quiescent stage, the metabolic reactions to keep the cell alive are continued in the cell.
