In photosynthesis, the transfer of photons from one pigment molecule to another and ultimately to the reaction center is a physical process which takes place by inductive resonance. The chemical process starts with the ejection of electrons (oxidation) from the reaction center molecule of both Photosystem I and Photosystem II.
