Statement A: The difference in energy content of substrate at ground state and energy content of the substrate at transition state is  called as activation energy.
Statement B: Substrate has higher energy at transition state than at ground state.
 

The energy difference between the transition state and ground state of the substrate is called Activation energy. Substrate is activated by input of energy to bring it to the transition state. Hence at transition state the substrate has more energy than at ground state.
