In any point $p\left(x,y\right)$ x-co ordinate represents distance of point from y-axis and y-co ordinates represents distance of point from x-axis.

$\therefore$ When a point is on X-axis distance of it from x-axis is $\text{'}0\text{'}$ which is represented by y-co ordinate

$\therefore$ Any point on X-axis is $\left(x,0\right)$ when n a point is on y-axis distance of if from y-axis $\text{'}0\text{'}$ which is represented by x-co ordinate.

$\therefore$ Any point Y-axis is$\left(0,y\right)$
