Statement –I : A pollen grain of angiosperm is considered as the male gametophyte.          

Statement –II : All the nuclei of the pollen grain produced male gametes.

Pollen grain is the first cell of male gametophyte. The size of the nucleus increases             and it divides by periclinally and mitotically to produce a bigger vegetative cell and a smaller generative cell. Vegetative cell has abundant food reserve and a large irregularly shaped nucleus. The generative cell is spindle shaped with dense cytoplasm, haploid nucleus and floats in the cytoplasm of the vegetative cell.
