Detailed Solution

Bond angle in 15th group hydrides

NH3 (107.8o) > PH3(93.6o) > AsH3(91.8o)> SbH3(91.3o)

Bent rule:

Let us compare NH3 and SbH3,

Central atom contains a lone pair on both of them

EN of 'N' > EN of 'Sb'.

Bond pairs in NH3 are closer to 'N', influence of lone pair is lesser.

Thus LP - BP repulsions are lesser in NH3 & bond angle is larger.

Bond pairs in SbH3 are farther to 'Sb', influence of lone pair is greater.

LP - BP repulsions are greater in SbH3 & bond angle is lesser.

Conclusion :  In case of similar compounds in which , the central atom contains lone pair ,

As the EN of central atom decreases , bond angle decreases down the group
