Statement II ; In the structure of Valine there is one $-{\mathrm{NH}}_2$ group and two $-\mathrm{COOH}$ groups 

General formula of $\mathrm{\alpha }-$amino acids is ${\mathrm{H}}_2\mathrm{N}-\mathrm{CH}\left(\mathrm{R}\right)-\mathrm{COOH} ;$

If the -R part contains 

a) no $-\mathrm{COOH}$ group or no $-{\mathrm{NH}}_{2 }$group(or no other basic groups like secondary.amine group or tertiary amine group)…..Neutral amino acid;

b) A $-\mathrm{COOH}$ group but no $-{\mathrm{NH}}_{2 }$group(or no other basic groups like secondary.amine group or tertiary amine group)…..Acidic amino acid;

c) No $-\mathrm{COOH}$ group but a $-{\mathrm{NH}}_{2 }$group(or other basic groups like secondary.amine group or tertiary amine group)….Basic amino acid;

In the case of valine -R is isopropyl group,$-\mathrm{CH}{\left({\mathrm{CH}}_3\right)}_2$ group;

It is a neutral amino acid;
