Statement-II: Glucose cannot react with ${\mathrm{NaHSO}}_3$

Glucose penta acetate does not contain free anomeric hydroxyl group (i.e., it does not contain free -CHO group). It does not react with ${\mathrm{NH}}_2\mathrm{OH}$. ${\mathrm{NaHSO}}_3$ is a weak carbonyl reagent. It cannot open the cyclic hemiacetal structure of glucose and thus cannot react with glucose.
