Detailed Solution

NaHCO3 is an antacid but if used in excess it makes stomach alkaline and triggers the production of even more acid. So mixture of Al(OH)3 and Mg(OH)2 are better alternatives because they are insoluble (or) sparing soluble. They do not increase pH above neutrality.
