Velocity of sound in gas medium is $v = \sqrt{\frac{K}{ρ}}$ = $\sqrt{\frac{γp}{ρ}}$ $γ$ is ratio of its principal heat capacities ( $\frac{C_{p}}{C_{v}}$ ). For moist air $ρ$ is less than that for dry air and $γ$ is slightly greater.
