Statement(A): Pulling a lawn roller is easier than pushing it.
Statement(B): Pulling increases the apparent weight and hence decreases the force of friction.

During pulling, upward force (component of pulling force) acts on the body which deceases the normal reaction and hence decreases the apparent weight of the body and friction force. While, during pushing, normal reaction and apparent weight increases which increases the friction force. Hence, pulling is easier than pushing.
