Fig.2 shows a convex mirror.
There are three types of mirrors shown in figures 1, 2 and 3. They are plane mirrors, convex mirrors and concave mirrors, respectively. A mirror that has a reflective surface that is curved inward and away from the light source is called a concave mirror. It is illustrated in fig. 3. A curved mirror which has a reflecting surface outwards is called a convex mirror. It is represented in figure 2.
