The mirror in fig. 1  reflects a parallel incident beam of light as a parallel beam.
The plane mirror can be defined as “the flat surface that produces a virtual and erect image.” The size of the image is equal to the object. Figure 1 shows a plane mirror. When a parallel beam is an incident on the plane mirror, the reflected rays are also parallel beams. But when a parallel beam is an incident on the spherical mirror, it either diverges or converges the parallel beam of light.
