The coast along the Bay of Bengal in the northern part is called the Northern Circar. The plains bordering the Bay of Bengal are broad and level. It is known as the Northern circar in the northern portion and the Coromandel Coast in the southern part. The Mahanadi, Godavari, and Krishna deltas make up the Northern Circars.
