1)      The Malwa Plateau in western-central India is considered to be of volcanic origin.
2)      It mainly comprises central Madhya Pradesh, southeast Rajasthan and some parts of Punjab. In the north, it is surrounded by the Bundelkhand Plateau and the Madhya Bharat Plateau.
