Detailed Solution

1)      The Malwa Plateau in western-central India is considered to be of volcanic origin.
2)      It mainly comprises central Madhya Pradesh, southeast Rajasthan and some parts of Punjab. In the north, it is surrounded by the Bundelkhand Plateau and the Madhya Bharat Plateau. The Vindhya range bounds the Malwa Plateau to the east and the south. The Gujarat plains lie to the west of the Malwa Plateau.
3)      The Peninsular plateau is divided into two sections. The Central highland lies north of the Narmada River and covers a large area of the Malwa Plateau.
