Detailed Solution

Let the current age of the father be x years.
Therefore, Suresh’s present age will be(12 x x) years = x2 years.
After 20 years,
Father’s age will be = (+ 20) years.
Suresh’s age will be = (x2 + 20) years.
Now, according to the question,
Father’s age after 20 years = (1+12) x Suresh’s age after 20 years
 x+20= 32 x (x2 + 20)
 x+20=3x4+(32 x 20)
 x+20=3x4+30
 x+20=(3x+120)4
 4 x (x+20)=3x+120
 4x+80=3x+120
4x-3x=120-80
x=40
Therefore, father’s current age = x years = 40 years.
