Anaemia is a condition in which the number of red blood cells or the haemoglobin concentration within them is lower than normal. Without enough haemoglobin, there will be a decreased capacity of the blood to carry oxygen to the body’s tissues. It is not a symptom of altitude sickness.

Altitude sickness results from a rapid change in air pressure and air oxygen levels at higher elevations. The symptoms include fatigue, shortness of breath, loss of appetite, nausea, heart palpitations, etc.
