Detailed Solution

Tai people are known as Ahoms.
The Indian states of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh are home to the Ahom, also known as Tai-Ahom. The individuals who make up this group are mixed-race offspring of the Tai people, who arrived in Assam's Brahmaputra valley in 1228, and the indigenous inhabitants of the area who later joined them. Sukaphaa, a prince of Mong Mao's Shan clan who arrived in Assam after travelling via the Patkai Mountains, founded the Ahom kingdom. Numerous tribal communities entered Assam's history at the beginning of the 13th and beginning of the 19th centuries. The Ahom capital, Garhgaon, was finally captured by Mir Jumla after his march in 1661 and series of victories over the Ahoms.
