●        If we keep the nails in test tube A, they won't rust. Because there is no oxygen in boiled water and only a small layer of oil protects the nails from air oxygen. So the test tube A's nails don't rust.
●        In test tube B, nails do not rust either because soda-lime removes any rust that may be present. In such a case, test tube B's nails are secure.
●        Because the tap water contains dissolved oxygen, test tube C's nails will rust. The iron in nails then reacts with the dissolved oxygen. The nails in test tube C will then corrode as a result.
