Detailed Solution

Tatya Tope and Nana Saheb were the leaders of the Revolt of 1857 from Kanpur.
In May 1857, Tatya Tope defeated the East India Company's Indian troops at Kanpur. He served as the Indian leader during the 1857 Rebellion and was renowned for his fearsome guerilla tactics against the British. He compelled General Windham to evacuate the city of Gwalior. He drove the British out of Kanpur and proclaimed Nana Saheb the Peshwa. Tatya Tope and Azimullah were in charge of his army. Finally, when defeated, Tatya Tope was taken into custody and hung by the British.
