Ten-year-olds had to enter Jungvolk for education.
The task of training German youngsters in "the spirit of National Socialism" was given to youth organisations. Jungvolk required ten-year-olds to enrol. At 14, all males were required to join Hitler Youth, a Nazi youth organisation where they learned to idolise war, exalt aggression and violence, decry democracy, and harbour hatred for Jews, communists, Gypsies, etc., deemed to be "undesirable." After undergoing a period of intense ideological and physical training, they often enlisted in the labour force at the age of 18. After that, they were required to enrol in the military and join a Nazi organisation. In 1922, the Nazi Youth League was created. Hitler Youth was given a new name four years later.
