The Napoleonic code was introduced in France in 1804 by Napoleon Bonaparte. He was the first emperor of France after the end of the monarchy of France. The civil code of 1804 was also known as the Napoleonic code or french civil code. He abolished the privileges enjoyed by the noble class by birth. He removed the tax imposed on the third estate of people, only to exploit the low prosperous people. He preferred equality before the law, secured property rights and introduced uniform systems of weights and measures. He applied the centralised form of administration in France
