Detailed Solution

The Akbar Nama mentions the Garha Katanga, which had 70,000 villages.
With 70,000 communities, Garha Katanga was a wealthy and sizable state. As a result, it experienced numerous assaults until the Mughals finally overcame them. Even so, a few of the Gond kingdoms continued to exist for a while before weakening and failing to contend with the more powerful Bundelas and Marathas. Smaller clans with their own "rajas" or "rais" made up the huge Gond tribe. Smaller Gond leaders started to be subjugated by large Gond kingdoms. As the kingdom was divided into "grahs" that were ruled by several Gond tribes, the governmental structure eventually became more centralised. The "chaurasis" (units of 84 villages) within the garhs were then subdivided into "barhots" (units of 12 villages). The Garha Katanga is also mentioned in Akbar Nama.
