The Bourbon dynasty was restored due to the Vienna congress. The congress of Vienna was an international diplomatic conference, it was established to reconstitute the European political order as Europe became extremely chaotic and needed re-organization after the downfall of Napoleon the french emperor. The meetings were held from September 1814 to June 1815. The individuals from the congress created outskirt states as they were scared of a solid France. It lost the territories it had taken over under Napoleon. The congress of Vienna helped the Bourbon dynasty in getting their power back. Belgium was put in the North layout and Genoa was added to Piedmont in the south. Prussia got new and crucial territories on the western frontiers, whereas northern Italy was put under Austria.
