The Sisodiya Rajputs of Mewar refused to accept the Mughal authority for a long time. The Rajputs accepted the rule of the Mughal empire. In addition, they tried to make alliances with the Mughal family by getting their daughters married into the Mughal families. However, some Rajput kings refused to accept the Mughal rule and resisted the Mughal empire. One such case was that of the Sisodiya Rajputs of Mewar.
