Detailed Solution

The Dalits were forced to live in separate colonies.
In the caste hierarchy, Brahmins were in the first position and were considered priests and teachers in the Hindu religion. In the second position, the Kshatriyas were considered warriors used to fight wars and were considered powerful and brave. Vaishyas came in third place and were considered intelligent people, usually businessmen, engaged in merchant trading and agriculturalists with their land and farms. In the fourth position, the Shudras were considered the low caste of inferior people, also called untouchables. These were mainly cultivators, small craftsmen, and artisans who worked at low wages. Outside of Shudras, a community called Dalits (untouchables) were forced to live in separate colonies. This caste system has created a lot of social inequalities and discrimination against the lower caste people, Shudras, and Dalits.
