Detailed Solution

The Napoleonic code is also known as the civil code. The Napoleonic code established in 1804 is considered a crucial step in the making of rule of law as this code was used in the regions under French control. Napoleon understood the fact the old feudal system and royal laws were confusing and conflicting to people, so he changed the French legal system. He was a dictator and did not believe in democracy but still took measures to smoothly run the system. Feudalism was abolished in countries like Dutch, Switzerland, Germany, and Italy, also, peasants were freed from serfdom and bonded labour. Systems like transportation and communication were also taken care of.
