$∵ 2 b = a + a^{2} a n d {(a^{2})}^{2} = a b \Rightarrow a^{3} = a b$

$\Rightarrow 2 a^{3} = a^{2} + a \Rightarrow a (2 a^{2} - a - 1) = 0 \Rightarrow a (2 a + 1) (a - 1) = 0$

$∴ a < 0$

$∴ a = \frac{- 1}{2}, b = \frac{\frac{- 1}{2} + \frac{1}{4}}{2} = \frac{- 1}{8}$

$∴ G . P . i s \frac{- 1}{2}, \frac{1}{4}, \frac{- 1}{8}, ...............$

$∴ S u m = \frac{\frac{- 1}{2}}{1 + \frac{1}{2}} = \frac{- 1}{3}$
