The gravitational force on the surface of the moon is only 1/6 as strong as the gravitational force on the earth. The weight of a 10 kg object on the moon is 16.3 N.
Given data in the problem,
Object mass, m=10 kg
And, Acceleration due to gravity on earth, ge=9.8 m/s2
Object weight on earth,  = mge
W= 10 × 9.8
W= 98 N According to the question the acceleration due to gravity on the moon, gm=16 × 9.8
gm= 1.63  m/s2 So, object weight on moon,  = mge
W= 10 × 1.63 W= 16.3 N Hence, the weight of that object at the moon is 16.3 N.
