Acidic salt is produced when a strong acid and a weak base undergo the process of neutralisation reaction. For example- Ammonium sulphate (NH4)2SO4, it is produced from Ammonia (weak base) and Sulphuric acid (strong acid).
Similarly, basic salt is produced when a strong base and weak acid undergo a neutralisation reaction. For example- Sodium acetate (CH3COONa), it is produced from Acetic acid (weak acid) and Sodium hydroxide (strong base).
