Given that,
Ratio of ages of Ravish and Shikha are 3: 8.
Ratio of ages of Ravish and Shikha after 6 years are 4: 9.
Let the present age of Ravish and Shikha be 3x and 8x respectively.
According to the given condition,

⇒ 3 x + 6 : 8 x + 6 = 4 : 9

⇒ 3 x + 6 8 x + 6 = 49

⇒ 9 (3 x + 6) = 4 (8 x + 6)

⇒ 27 x + 54 = 32 x + 24

⇒ 27 x − 32 x = 24 − 54

⇒ − 5 x = − 30

⇒ x = − 305

⇒ x = 6

Thus, Present age of Ravish

⇒ 3 × 6 = 18

.
Also, Present age of Shikha

⇒ 8 × 6 = 48
